1. With the addition of pop standards, The Temptations in a Mellow Mood is mainly considered a sellout grab for a wider white audience. (The tone-setting lead-off cut "Hello Young Lovers," with its bouncy big-band cadence, was all but beside the point to black culture upon this album's release) The singing and the feel behind the performances, however, makes this an unsung classic/5.
